State Opera Plovdiv International Conducting Competition

State Opera Plovdiv and Plovdiv Opera Orchestra, proudly presents the second edition of Plovdiv Opera International Conducting Competition.
All the phases of the competition will be held with live orchestra and will be held in Plovdiv from January the 5th until January the 10th 2026.
The candidates are welcome to apply from June the 1st until October the 31st 2025.
The repertoire of the competition is focused on opera and is intended to test in deep the knowledge and the artistry of the admitted conductors.
The prizes consist in concerts and opera productions at the State Opera Plovdiv, Teatro Massimo Bellini di Catania, Astana Opera, Pazardjik Symphony Orchestra, Orchestra Sinfonica Metropolitana di Bari.

Jury members from Italy, France, Spain, Germany, Bulgaria, Kazakhstan.
