The Accademia Filarmonica Europea, promoter and organizer of the Diocesan Festival of Sacred Music, in collaboration with the Suburbicarian Diocese of Albano (Rome), announces the 1st International
Composition Competition "Franz Liszt" (Sacred Music Section).
Reserved for composers under 40, the competition aims to enhance
the legacy of sacred music while promoting contemporary music and
emerging composers.
The competition is dedicated to Franz Liszt, a composer of numerous
sacred works, who was appointed Canon of the Cathedral of San
Pancrazio Martire in Albano in 1879.
