Luis Bacalov International Composition Competition - 3rd Edition

The ICO Magna Grecia Orchestra, in collaboration with Luis Bacalov Association and under the patronage of the Ministry of Culture, the Regione Puglia, and the Municipality of Taranto, announces the third edition of the “Luis Bacalov” International Composition Competition.. This competition aims to represent a heartfelt and rightful tribute to Maestro Luis Bacalov, one of the most significant figures in contemporary international music in recent decades. As the principal conductor of the ICO Magna Grecia Orchestra from 2005 until his death in 2017, the Italo-Argentine Maestro represented an irreplaceable human and artistic reference. Inspired by his multifaceted musical production, the International Composition Competition aims to promote and enhance the creativity.
