International Composition Workshop with Stefano Gervasoni

Theia Ensemble, is a new ensemble based in Salerno, Italy. It focuses on modern and contemporary music, aiming to involve the public as much as possible, giving its contribute to build a community paying more and more attention to contemporary expression in arts.

The Ensemble organizes the first edition of the Composition Workshop in Valva, near Salerno, in the stunning Villa D’Ayala-Valva, an astonishing structure in which Giacinto Scelsi (Italian pioneer of modern music of XX century) spent his childhood.

The masterclass will be held by Stefano Gervasoni, currently composition teacher in Conservatoire Supérieur de Musique et Danse in Paris, France. It is open to composers of any age and nationality: they can apply both for solo and ensemble composition; reading sessions, lectio magistralis, rehearsal and final concert including all participants scores.
