We are happy to invite you to our first masterclass outside of Berlin that will take place in the beautiful city of Sopron at the Ferenc Liszt Cultural Centre and its fine facilities.
Sopron "The Town of Loyalty and Freedom”, located near Vienna, mainly associated with Haydn and Liszt, is the Barock pearl of Hungary, and the connection point between Hungary and the western part of Europe. With its world renowned Esterházy Palace, the place where Haydn worked for the Esterházy court for almost three decades, as a court musician and Kapellmeister, and composed a great number of symphonies and operas.
This unique program speaks for itself, with 4 masterpieces composed in a radius of 75km.
Haydn 44 and 49, composed for the Esterházys.
Beethoven 2nd and 7th, composed in Vienna.
