Cello Bow:

Finest and rare cello master bow by Philipp Paul Nürnberger (ca. 1915) with authenticity certificate

Prezzo: TBN
From my private, non-commercial collection, therefore considerably below what luthiers/dealers charge: remarkable bow in fine condition with superb playing characteristics ‒ immediate response, and a rounded, clear, mature sound ‒, made by Philipp Paul NÜRNBERGER (1882‒1946), Franz Albert Jr's elder son.
Its choice pernambuco stick’s balance between stiffness and agility facilitate effortless handling, tonal brilliance and mighty sound projection ‒ on a par with French bows valued at 2-3x more.

Experts on 19th/20th century German bows (Grünke, Köstler, Wohlleber, Schröder, et al.) agree that the bows of Philipp's early period (like this one) are generally superior to those of his prominent father.
