The Fox Model 660D is a “thick wall” bassoon that projects a large, rich tone to meet the needs of soloists and orchestral players. A “short bore,” “thick wall” bassoon, the Model 660 is known for its singing, flexible tenor register and ability to project.
One owner, purchased new in 2009, this bassoon has been used in every position (1st, 2nd, 3rd & 4th) in many professional UK symphony orchestras. Notably many concerts and recordings (2009-2015) with the Halle Orchestra and extensively with BBC Symphony Orchestra from 2012 to present. Also used in London Symphony Orchestra, Philharmonia, shows, session and chamber work etc.
A beautiful sound and even tone throughout make this a stunning instrument to play in any position.
Available to try in Bedfordshire, only 40 mins from London by train. Comes with a Fox crook and Heckel crook & Kim Walker style gig bag.
