Senior Artist (f) as Female-Artist-in-Residence (FAiR) in classical percussion instruments
(part-time, short-term)
With over 2,200 very talented students from over 70 countries and 5 continents, around 550 teachers and almost 100 different courses, Mozarteum University has enjoyed an outstanding reputation for decades. In addition to its role as an outstanding training facility, it is also a well-thought-of cultural centre and one of the largest employers in the region.
In order to enhance our team further, we are looking to fill the following position:
Senior Artist (f) as
Female-Artist-in-Residence (FAiR)
in classical percussion instruments
Number: 1367/1-2025
From the 2026 semester, we require a Senior Artist for the FAiR programme for the advancement of women at Mozarteum University (temporary, part-time).
Who can apply?
Outstanding young female conductors with a focus on classical percussion instruments (orchestra, solo and chamber music) holding a completed, relevant artistic Master's or diploma degree who, in addition to an international career, also aspire to a career as a university professor.
Applications with the required documents (CV incl. evidence of previous relevant employment, certificates, cover letter and the concept paper relating to a project to be carried out during the residence) must be made online by 07.09.2025 using the following link: https://www.uni-mozarteum.at/apps/fe/karriere/.
Selection process
The commission will pre-select from the applications received in a prompt and correct manner. The successful applicant will attend a hearing on 06.10.2025 which will include an artistic presentation (the programme must include at least three of the following instrument groups: orchestra-percussion, marimba and vibraphone, set-up, solo literature, drum set, timpani, percussion, theatrical percussion, world music), a demonstration lesson and the presentation of the project proposal.
