Txistu Composition Competition EHTE 2026

Euskal Herriko Txistulari Elkartea announces the Txistu Composition Competition EHTE 2026, open to composers of any age and nationality. The aim is to promote contemporary creation for the txistu and its instrumental family. Two proposals will be selected and awarded commissions: one work for an ensemble of up to 6 performers (€2,000) and one for an ensemble of up to 4 performers (€1,500). Each composer may submit one representative work. Registration is free. All materials must be sent by email konposiziolehiaketa@txistulari.eus by October 31, 2026, including a PDF score and an audio file (MP3, WAV, or AIFF); large files should be shared via cloud services. Late or incomplete applications will not be considered. Selected composers must attend the commission and deliver a new work by June 30, 2027. The deadline is October 31, 2026.
