NYWO Jazz & Chamber April courses

Applications are now open for the 2026 Focus on Chamber Courses and NYWO Jazz, for ages 14-21. Working in small groups on carefully-chosen repertoire, the courses provide a thorough grounding in the skills and musicianship required for playing in small unconducted groups. A Focus on Chamber course provides the opportunity for you to hone essential skills relating to technique, musicianship, and communication, in an enriching and supportive environment. You’ll also have a chance to explore other skills such as conducting and improvisation, as well as exploring performance technique and stage etiquette – crucial for the performing musician. NYWO Jazz offers young jazz musicians the chance to work immersively with an industry professional. You’ll have an amazing time working on your ensemble skills, learning how to improvise, exploring what it means to be stylistic across different genres, and more!
