Learning Projects Coordinator
£22,560 p/year
Liverpool Philharmonic’s Learning programmes have gone from strength to strength over the years, now working with hundreds of people across the region. We’re currently looking for a Learning Projects Co-ordinator to help ensure the successful operation of Liverpool Philharmonic’s Youth Company ensembles, coordinating projects, rehearsals, events and activities for children and young people.
What is the role?
- Title: Learning Projects Coordinator
- Department: Performance and Learning
- Responsible to: Youth Company Manager
- Salary: £22,560
- Employment type: Full time, permanent
- Hours of work: 35 hours per a week
Your responsibilities will include:
- Coordinating ongoing rehearsals, workshops and performances
- Book and engage musicians to deliver the musical elements of all Youth Company activity
- Provide pastoral care for participants of all ages, including providing First Aid
- Ensuring Youth Company activities remain open and inclusive for all participants through ongoing support

- You are passionate about music and its impact on children and young people
- You enjoy working in a fast paced, exciting environment
- You thrive working in a creative environment
- You are confident at juggling multiple priorities and projects
- You have an interest or experience in event management
- You can respond quickly to changing circumstances, confidently thinking on your feet
- You can work autonomously and also as part of a wider team
This job isn’t for you if:
- You cannot work unsociable hours
- You are not highly motivated and organised
- You do not have a basic understanding of computer literacy
- You are not confident in engaging with children and young people
- You are looking to be involved in the musical delivery of activities, rather than the operational and pastoral delivery
- Commuting between venues will be an issue
