Blue Danube Opera Conducting Masterclass 2026 (I) Boheme/Nabucco

Blue Danube Musikimpresario/Vienna has partnered with European opera theaters in Masterclasses and Competitions since 2002, developing generations of opera conductors, many of whom have gone on to professional careers. Two of opera’s most important works: Puccini's La Boheme and Verdi's Nabucco, will be rehearsed and performed in Italian in fully-staged & costumed productions. Eight active-participant conductors will work with State Opera Stara Zagora (Bulgaria's) orchestra, choir, vocal soloists, pianists & dancers, coached by Maestri Vladimir Boshnakov and Anthony Armore. Each conductor will conduct 1/4 of one of the operas in performance and have podium time with: orchestra and choir alone; cast & piano; stage rehearsals; & Sitzproben (soloists and choir onstage with orchestra in the pit), as well a dress rehearsal and performance. Besides their performance assignment, conductors will have ample time with the 2nd opera. Probably the Best Training in Opera Conducting in the World!
