Cascade Conductors and Composers Workshop

The Cascade Conductors and Composers Workshop offers a rare opportunity to conduct professional musicians, compose works to be performed by professional musicians, connect and collaborate with emerging conductors and composers from around the world, and to work with internationally recognized faculty members in the prime of their careers.

Led by artistic director Sarah Ioannides, music director of Symphony Tacoma (orchestral conducting), Geoffrey Boers, music director of Symphony Tacoma Voices (choral conducting), and David Serkin Ludwig, Dean of the Music School at Julliard (composition), this course, held at the University of Puget Sound is regularly attended by promising musicians from around the world. Full tuition fellowships, and partial scholarships are available.

Work with the Cascade Orchestra, composed of principal musicians from Symphony Tacoma, and other leading ensembles in the northwest.
