CPI Winter Conducting Workshop with Markand Thakar

Conducting is easy. Conducting well is hard!

Over 15 years, renowned pedagogue Markand Thakar's CPI* has earned an unmatched reputation for developing conductors.

We don't give tips ("try this, try that"). In five intensive days you'll build conducting technique from the foundation up, starting with freeing the body from unnecessary tensions, continuing to develop a solid connection with the sounds.

You will participate in music-making sessions, two technique sessions daily, and daily group conversations and video reviews. As a Fellow you'll have ca. 90 minutes with our first-rate professional orchestra, supervised by Maestro Thakar.

You will leave a better musician and a more effective conductor, and you'll take with you a video to use for professional and student applications.

Associates participate fully in all activities beyond conducting the orchestra.
