Choirmaster and Conductor

The Sofia Philharmonic announces a call for applications for the positions of Conductor and Choirmaster of the "Svetoslav Obretenov" National Philharmonic Choir, initially of a fixed-term employment contract for one year with a probationary period in favor of the employer. With place of work Sofia - Concert Complex "Bulgaria". Basic salary on montly: Choirmaster - 2500 BGN; Conductor -3000 BGN.
Requirements for the position: university degree in Choral Conducting and proven artistic experience in the position, minimum 2 years as a Conductor.
Professional competency estimation will be done in following stages:
- Preselection made according to the documents submitted
- Practical conducting presentation, three tasks as follows: preparation for singing, conducting of excerpts and conducting prima vista under piano accompaniment
- Works for the competition programme:
- Mozart - Requiem, Verdi - Requiem, Brahms - German Requiem, Carl Orff - Carmina Burana,
- Prokofiev - Alexander Nevsky, Dobri Hristov - Cherubic Hymn No. 4 ,
- Rachmaninov - Our Lady of the Virgin, rejoice
