Bass Trombone

We have an open position for Bass Trombone with obligation to Contrabass Trombone
(Danish title: Basbasun med pligt til Kontrabasbasun)
The audition will take place on Monday 15th of December 2025, at 10:00 AM in the Concert Hall at The Royal Danish Academy of Music, Rosenørns Allé 22, 1970 Frederiksberg C
REPERTOIRE:
1. Round: A. Lebedev: Concerto and excerpts from the orchestra repertoire
2. Round: J. S. Bach: Sarabande from 5th suite for solocello and excerpts from the orchestra repertoire
3. Round: Excerpts played with the trombone- and tuba section
Video repertoire will be announced in the event you are invited to the video round.
Shortly after the deadline, the jury will review all applicants and categorize them into three groups: direct invitation to the 1st round, invitation to the pre-round via video, or not invited.
Orchestral excerpts will be ready for download in the beginning of November 2025 on: www.copenhagenphil.dk/jobs/
Tuning: 442 Hz
An accompanist will be provided at the audition. Applicants are responsible for all expenses related to travel and rehearsal.
Timeline:
• Application deadline: 2nd of November 2025
• 6th of November 2025: All applicants will be informed whether they are invited directly to the first round, must submit a video recording, or not invited.
• Video submission deadline: 20th of November 2025
• 25th of November: Candidates who have submitted a video will be informed whether they are invited to the first round or not.
Salary and conditions of employment are negotiable under the current agreement for musicians in the Danish Regional Orchestras (Landsdelsorkestrene). Employment for non-EU residents is contingent on obtaining a valid work and residence permit. Applicants are responsible for any costs associated with obtaining these permits.
