Beautiful old German cello appraised c1850-possibly older.
Asking price £5000 to sell (appraised at £9000).
Please note- THE CELLO IS IN ORKNEY SCOTLAND UK.
It has a top quality bridge and sound post fitted and Versum Solo Strings. It has been checked by a luthier before selling, to confirm that it has no sound post or bass bar cracks.
It has a lovely top register and mellow, even sound. It has been used as my spare cello for orchestral and quartet playing and as my teaching cello. I have now moved to Baroque cello, which is why I am selling this one.
