Cello Bow:

Reliable, ca. 55-year-old, fully silver-mounted Karl Höfner cello bow

Precio: CHF 1.900.‒
This robust, yet nimble bow in fine condition might be suitable for an intermediate/advanced cellist looking for a versatile German bow at an affordable price.
According to one of HÖFNER's senior bow makers, this bow was made in the 70s, thus making it a rare piece from HÖFNER's «golden era», i.e., before fierce competition from Japan/China, changes in ownership and reorganisations put a strain on management and artisans.

Specs:
■ model: «master bows», HÖFNER's top category, recognisable by the 3 asterisks behind the brand stamp
■ wood: premium pernambuco, octagonal shape
■ frog: ebony with silver/mother-of-pearl Parisian eye
■ adjuster: silver/ebony/pearl; 2 rings on the button, 8 inlaid pearl eyes
■ thumb leather: goatskin
■ weight: 80.5 g
■ balance point: 9.6"
■ total length: 717 mm
■ length of stick: 700 mm
