June 26–30 Opera Assisting
You will work with some of the world’s most talented young musicians as they prepare for staged performances of Ravel’s L’enfant et les sortilèges. Playing an integral role in the rehearsal process, you will gain hands-on experience leading both staging and orchestral rehearsals.
Under the guidance of Karen and Tim, you will prepare the students for the arrival of the opera’s main conductor and will share a full stage and piano rehearsal.
June 30–July 4 Building an Education Concert
Receiving expert training and advice, you will programme, write, present and conduct an education concert, to be performed in Manchester schools with professional chamber ensemble.
You will attend seminars with senior management from the LSO, BBC Philharmonic and Manchester Camerata and our team of highly experienced industry leaders will advise you on how best to create and deliver education and family concerts.
Each course costs £850($1100/€1000), inc. lunch and dinner
