2026 Irish Chamber Orchestra Academy (strings)

The Classical String Performance-programme at the University of Limerick invites applicants for the 2026 Irish Chamber Orchestra Academy project!
This 3-day intensive course welcomes Irish & international 3rd level string students to play alongside & receive mentoring from ICO Principal players - refining chamber music- and ensemble skills, & promoting body-awareness through Body Mapping.
Dates: 11 March until 13 March (lunchtime performance).
Programme: provisionally including works by Strauss, Mendelssohn & Roosenschoon.
The ICOA is free & shared hotel accommodation (incl. breakfast) is provided. The only expenses for participants are subsistence & travel costs. One double bass is available to participants.
Non-EU applicants are encouraged to apply as early as possible due to visa processing times.
