Encore Music Masterclasses with Prof. Richard May

Cellists joining the Encore Music Projects 13th International Summer Course this July will have the exceptional opportunity to study with Richard May, Co Founder and Artistic Director of the programme. Now in its thirteenth year, Encore has become a vibrant international centre for young musicians, offering high level tuition, chamber music, and inspiring performance opportunities under Richard’s artistic leadership.

Described by The Times as “a phenomenal cellist”, Richard May has enjoyed an international career as soloist, chamber musician, and recording artist. His London debut recital at the Purcell Room featured the world premiere of Five Duos for cello and piano by Colin Matthews, written especially for him.
