Associate Principal Clarinet with obligation to E-flat Clarinet
We have an open position for Associate Principal Clarinet with obligation to E-flat Clarinet.
The audition will take place on Sunday, March 16th, 2025, at 10:00 AM at Konservatoriets Koncertsal, Rosenørns Allé 22, 1970 Frederiksberg.
Repertoire
1st round:
• W.A. Mozart: Clarinet Concerto, 1st movement (Exposition, measures 57–154)
• E-flat clarinet orchestral excerpts
2nd round:
• Debussy: Première Rhapsodie (from the beginning through the second measure of number 6)
• Additional orchestral excerpts
3rd round:
• Orchestral excerpts for E-flat, A, and B-flat clarinet and possibility of sectional playing.
Video Submission Requirements
Selected candidates must submit a YouTube video recording. Piano accompaniment is mandatory for the concerto. Video repertoire includes:
1. W.A. Mozart: Clarinet Concerto, 1st movement (Exposition, measures 57–154)
2. Three E-flat clarinet orchestral excerpts
The Mozart recording must be a single take. The three excerpts must also be recorded as a single take, but the Mozart and the excerpts can be submitted as two separate videos.

Timeline
• Application deadline: Tuesday, February 4th, 2025
• By Friday, February 7th, all applicants will be informed whether they are invited directly to the first round or must submit a video recording.
• Video submission deadline: Friday, February 21st, 2025
• By Tuesday, February 25th, candidates who have submitted a video will be informed whether they are invited to the first round.
Excerpts will be sent approximately five weeks before the audition. An accompanist will be available at the audition. Candidates are responsible for travel and rehearsal expenses.
Employment Conditions
Salary and conditions of employment are negotiable under the current agreement for musicians in the Danish Regional Orchestras. Employment for non-EU residents is contingent on obtaining a valid work and residen
