Fine English violin attributed to Bernard Simon Fendt II (London, c.1825), accompanied by a certificate from Kenneth Warren & Son, Chicago.
An elegant instrument with balanced proportions and a graceful outline. Notably light (approx. 385g), offering ease of play and a responsive, articulate feel.
One-piece maple back with medium flame; matching ribs and scroll. Spruce top with fine, even grain. Varnish of warm red-orange brown over a golden ground.
Branded “Betts” at the lower rib, as noted in the certificate.
Condition:
Good overall condition. Professionally examined and structurally sound. Typical varnish wear consistent with age; no major damages observed.

Certification:
Accompanied by a certificate from Kenneth Warren & Son, Chicago, confirming attribution to Bernard Simon Fendt II. Additionally, the instrument has received verbal confirmation from a European luthier (2026).
