Superb professional Josef oboe with a magnificent deep, rounded and resonant voice, excellent intonation and exceptionally refined keywork. Similar in response and tuning to a Marigaux 901but with an especially smooth feel over the break and full, satisfying short third-octave fingerings. Dual-system (thumb-plate and conservatoire), with removable double-sprung thumb-plate and long third-octave key. Beautiful rose-gold keywork is in excellent condition. A wonderfully responsive, characterful and reliable instrument — and perhaps the best all-round oboe I’ve owned. Serial number UU54, just serviced ready for its new owner.
