Violin tutors

We are looking for inspiring violin tutors to join our successful project in Streatham Common, South London from late January 2026. We are recruiting both for a regular violin tutor to teach 1:1 lessons 2- 3 afternoons each week during term time (flexibility available if you are offered performing work) and for cover tutors who can step in in the event that one of our regular tutors is away for performance work.

You will be a professional musician of high calibre, with experience working with younger children and presenting technical and musical ideas in a fun and motivating way. You will have a strong commitment to music as a tool for social change and great communication skills.

We are a community music foundation offering free instrumental tuition to children from backgrounds currently under-represented in classical music. Children receive 1:1 tuition every single day of the school year which makes this a rewarding role as the children make extremely fast progress.
