Superb, versatile master bow in a fine state of preservation by Philipp Paul NÜRNBERGER (1882‒1946), Franz Albert junior's elder son.

Its octagonal stick’s strength/flexibility & ideal CoM ‒ on a par with French bows valued 2-3 times as much ‒ facilitate effortless, virtuoso handling, tonal brilliance & mighty sound projection.

Renowned experts in the field of antique German bows of the 19th and early 20th century (Klaus Grünke, Hieronymus Köstler, Mathias Wohlleber, Benjamin Schröder, et al.) agree that, in terms of craftsmanship, Philipp Paul's bows ‒ particularly those of his early period, of which this is a marvellous specimen ‒ are often superior to those of his celebrated father.
