Precio: € 10.900.‒
July 2025 update: substantial discount, i.e., sale at cost (> 1.000 € for certificates, expert restoration and rehairing included!).
Superb, versatile master bow in a fine state of preservation by Philipp Paul NÜRNBERGER (1882‒1946), Franz Albert junior's elder son.
Its octagonal stick’s strength/flexibility and ideal CoM ‒ on a par with French bows valued 2-3 times as much, acc. to pro cellists ‒ facilitate effortless, virtuoso handling, tonal brilliance and mighty sound projection.
Renowned experts in the field of antique German bows of the 19th and early 20th century (Klaus Grünke, Hieronymus Köstler, Mathias Wohlleber, Benjamin Schröder, et al.) agree that, in terms of craftsmanship, Philipp Paul's bows ‒ particularly those of his early period, of which this bow is a marvellous specimen ‒ are often superior to those of his celebrated father.
