The managing director of the Janáček Philharmonic Ostrava announces an audition to 1st violin tutti.
The audition will take place at Janacek Philharmonic’s interim venue on 7th July 2025 at 1pm

Audition repertoire:

1st Round
a/ Orchestral excerpts:
W. A. Mozart: Symphony No. 39 in E-flat major, 4th movement – beginning
(section as marked in the attachment)
L. van Beethoven: Symphony No. 4 in B-flat major, 4th movement (2 marked sections)
Symphony No. 8 in F major - beginning of the 3rd and 4th movements (marked sections)
b/ Solo performances:
J. S. Bach: A slow and fast movement from Sonatas and Partitas for Solo Violin
W. A. Mozart: 1st movement with cadenza from any Violin Concerto

2nd Round
a/ Orchestral excerpts:
B. Smetana: Šárka (2 marked places in the attachment)
From Bohemia's Forests and Meadows – fugato
(marked in the attachment)
A. Dvořák: Slavonic Dances No. 1, 2, and 5 (marked places)
L. Janáček: Sinfonietta (marked places)
Taras Bulba (marked places)
b/ Solo performance:
First, last and a free movement from a 19th or 20th century concerto with cadenzas.

Salary condition:
EUR 13,750-19,930 gross pro rata depending on previous experience.
