Audition Process:
• Audition Date: Friday, January 23, 2026

Audition Materials & Orchestral Excerpts:
• Will be made available no later than 2 months before the audition.
• Audition will be held at Musikkens Hus, Aalborg

Audition Rounds:
Round 1:
• First movement with cadenza from one of the following:
o Mozart: Violin Concerto No. 4 in D major, KV218
o Mozart: Violin Concerto No. 5 in A major, KV219
• Orchestral excerpts:
o Strauss: Don Juan, Op. 20
o Mahler: Symphony No. 9, 2nd movement (Waltz)
Round 2:
• First movement with cadenza from one of the following:
o Beethoven
o Brahms
o Tchaikovsky
o Sibelius
• Orchestral excerpts:
o Handel: Messiah – 3 short excerpts
o Mozart: Symphony No. 39, KV543 – Finale
o Brahms: Piano Concerto No. 1, Op. 15 – 3rd movement (Rondo)
o Nielsen: Masquerade Overture
o Rachmaninoff: Symphony No. 2, Op. 27 – 4th movement
o Stravinsky: Firebird Suite (1919) – Danse Infernale
o Shostakovich: Symphony No. 5, Op. 47 – 3rd movement (Largo)
o Bartók: Concerto for Orchestra – 5th movement (Finale)
Round 3:
Chamber Music:
• Haydn: String Quartet in B-flat major, Op. 64, No. 3 (Hob. III:67), Violin II
o 2nd movement – bars 1 to 32
• Dvořák: String Quartet, Op. 34, Violin II
o 1st movement – from the beginning to letter D
Interview:
