Music Engagement Manager - USAF Band of the West
Are you passionate about music and community engagement? The USAF Band of the West is seeking a dynamic Musical Resource Specialist to lead and manage our community relations performances. This is an exceptional opportunity to play a pivotal role in advancing our mission through the power of music.
As a member of our senior staff, you will shape policies and strategies to enhance the vision and mission of the Band and the USAF. Your responsibilities will include scouting and networking with top civilian talent and securing performance venues. You will plan and coordinate major events such as Veteran’s Day and other key military/civilian stakeholder events, ensuring precise execution and impactful delivery. Additionally, you will serve as the go-to authority on copyright law.
We are looking for someone with expert knowledge of Air Force Public Affairs, Bands, and Recruiting principles, along with marketing savvy. Strong financial acumen is essential, as you will manage projects with keen attention to detail and budget. Excellent communication skills are a must, as you will negotiate and clarify logistical arrangements. You should also possess strong analytical skills to gather and interpret data to develop innovative solutions, as well as adaptability to embrace continuous improvement and evolving mandates. Proven experience in managing contracts and negotiations is also required.
