Tyrolean “Blockless” Double Bass – ca. 1850, fully restored

For sale this gorgeous remarkable double bass probably from Tyrol, built around 1850, in excellent condition. Beautiful wood and masterful craftsmanship.
Professionally restored, including a new upper block and all cracks repaired!
The double bass has a very comfortable, easy to play, and professional setup: Bender Titan endpin, Despiau bridge, and a high quality ebony fingerboard.
It has a deep, powerful, warm and resonant sound, excellent for both arco and pizzicato playing. I played it a lot in symphony and chamber orchestras, and I was always happy with it. I’m only selling it because I'm looking to buy a new instrument.

String length: 105 cm (D mensure)
Available for trial in Vienna, but I’m flexible. The price is negotiable.
