This magnificent and extremely beautiful cello dates from ca.1780 and is in excellent overall and perfect playing condition.There are no soundpost cracks which is rare for instruments of that period.The sound is simply amazing.It is deep, sonorous, colourful and so extremely powerful it will fill any hall and the kind found on the best of italian cellos.A large part of the attractive oil varnish remains and the back is of extraordinary beauty.The instrument measures 73cm so it’s very comfortable to play and represents a typical example of the golden era of cello making and is just an absolutely fantastic instrument suited for soloist activity.
