Executive Assistant to the Principal
The Royal Academy of Music is one of the world’s leading conservatoires. This role is right at the very heart of the Academy. The postholder will have insight into all areas of the Academy’s life and work through providing high-level administrative support to the Principal, who has responsibility for all areas of the Academy’s life and work. The role is based within the Executive Office, a small and close-knit team working to support the overall smooth-running of the Academy.
The primary purpose of the role is to offer high-level administrative support to the Principal, including proactive diary management, drafting a variety of communications, and coordinating travel logistics, budgets, and special events and projects as required. The role interacts with a wide variety of stakeholders across the Academy and beyond, offering a unique insight into the Academy’s work and reach.
To be successful in the role, you will have outstanding administrative and organisational skills and be a confident and diplomatic communicator, adept at working flexibly and at pace in a lively and vibrant environment. You will be capable of building and maintaining excellent working relationships with a variety of stakeholders and will work proactively to support the Principal in all aspects of his work.
