Classified as a World Heritage site by UNESCO, the city of Coimbra (Portugal), with its magnificent University established in 1290, will be the venue of the Coimbra World Piano Meeting.
Professors:
Olivier Gardon, Gerlinde Otto, Mamiko Suda, Manuel Araújo, Carles Marín, Jorge Martins, Frank Hsieh, Anne Kaasa, Teresa Trevisan, Johan Schmidt, Marina Pliassova, Constantin Sandu, Ratko Delorko, Agathe Leimoni Sylvia Chu
The professors of the festival will select the students who will partipate in these official concerts. Some concerts may be live recorded.
Apart from the regular concerts, a Piano Competition will take place in order to allow the best student(s) to perform with a professional orchestra. The absolute winner of the competition must perform with orchestra the following concert: L. van Beethoven – Piano Concerto No. 3
Participants will be hosted, and special fares, in a baroque palace, National Monument of Portugal.
