You are invited to the 8th edition of the Bucharest International Conducting Competition, taking place from July 6-10, 2026!
Experience the opening ceremony on July at Sala Auditorium/National University of Music Bucharest, the Competition & the Winners' Awards Gala Concert at the prestigious Romanian Athenaeum, showcasing the Bucharest Symphony Orchestra.
The repertoire includes iconic overtures by G. Verdi – La forza del destino, W.A. Mozart – Don Giovanni, R.Wagner – Siegfried Idyll, the Rachmaninov – Piano Concerto No.3 & J. Brahms 1st Symphony.
All ages and nationalities are welcome, regardless of the education. Seize this chance to showcase your talent!
Led by President John Axelrod, David Crescenzi and five Romanian personalities, the jury ensures fair evaluation. The 1st place gets 3000 €, 2nd - 2000€ and 3rd place - 1000€ as cash prizes and opportunities to conduct renowned Romanian orchestras, and all conduct in the Gala Concert.
