Dirigierakademie is thrilled to present a workshop focusing on foundational knowledge, baton technique, and score preparation practices. This workshop is perfect for conductors, educators and musicians who would like to gain experience working with orchestral musicians, to expand their symphonic repertoire, and to learn more about the industry.
Participants will work with Maestro Matthew Lynch taking a step-by-step approach to the repertoire:
silent conducting, working with string quintet + piano, lecture/small-group sessions with video analysis and personalized feedback to prepare for conducting with a full orchestra on the final day of the course.
A maximum of 14 participants will be selected. The participants are free to select any movements from the symphonies. Each participant will have:
- Pre-workshop group zoom meeting to discuss score preparation
- 35 mins of total podium time
- Daily silent conducting session to practice technique and revisit topics
- Daily Q&A
