Trumpetplayer with obligation to play cornet, flugelhorn, and piccolo trumpet

The Danish Armed Forces is seeking a trumpet player with obligation to play cornet, flugelhorn, and piccolo trumpet for The Prince of Denmark Airforce Band.
Are you an experienced musician with a passion for performing in one of the Danish Defence’s professional military bands?
Then you might be our new colleague.
We are looking for a trumpet player for the The Prince of Denmark Airforce Band (Prinsens Musikkorps), with a starting date of January 1, 2026, or as soon as possible thereafter.
The Prince of Denmark Airforce Band consists of 16 professional musicians and is an ensemble of very high caliber. The band regularly works with conductors and soloists among the most recognized in Europe.
The band is based in its own music house at Skive Military Base, from where it tours for military and civilian concerts and events throughout Denmark – and occasionally abroad.
The main tasks in this job include performing for the Royal Family, supporting military functions, and participating in public concerts.
As a trumpet player in The Prince of Denmark Airforce Band, you will be expected to play trumpet, cornet, flugelhorn, and piccolo trumpet.
We highly value an open and constructive dialogue between staff and leadership.
The band has a broad and varied repertoire, so musical versatility and genre awareness are essential. You are expected to contribute to the stability and sense of community in the of the trumpet section and help develop the band musically through your competencies.
About you
You hold a Master’s degree in trumpet, or have equivalent professional musical qualifications. You are innovative, flexible, and possess strong collaboration skills.
You thrive with responsibility, and your professionalism and empathetic approach make you a valuable musician and colleague in the ensemble.
