The Management of Wrocław Opera announces auditions for the position of: orchestral musician tutti: viola.

Requirements:
- Master degree in music: viola,
- orchestra experience.

Please submit your application, including a CV, by February 28, 2026 till 14:00, to the following email address: tomasz.starzec@opera.wroclaw.pl. Subject line: "Auditions for the position of orchestral musician tutti: viola".

You will be provided the orchestra materials via e-mail. The orchestra inspector will forward them to you after receiving you application form.
Selected candidates will be invited to the auditions, will take place on March 12, 2026 at the Wrocław Opera House (Świdnicka 35 street, 50-066 Wrocław).
The Opera does not reimburse travel or accommodation expenses.
The Opera provides a staff pianist for the auditions.

Programme:
1. Solo part chosen from:
- C. Statmitz, Viola Concerto in D major, op. 1 - 1. part with cadenza,
- F. A. Hoffmeister, Viola Concerto in D major - 1. part with cadenza.

2. Extracts from orchestra parts:
- W. A. Mozart, Die Zauberflöte - Ouverture,
- G. Puccini, Madama Butterfly - (from the beginning till 10. bars after 2 and 1. bar before 19 to 20),
- S. Moniuszko, Halka - Tańce góralskie (30 - 32),
- G. Bizet - Carmen - Finale Atto I (fuga to 60),
- P. Czajkowski - The Nutcracker - Scena 4 (from the beginning till 4. bars after nr. 30 and from nr. 34 till nr. 35).
