Trombone tutor (including jazz specialism)

(時給, 短期間の仕事)
We are seeking to appoint an inspirational trombone teacher (including jazz specialism) with an enthusiastic and inclusive approach to educating young musicians.

This role, offered on a self-employed contract, involves delivering a minimum of 2 hours individual tuition to students from beginner up to diploma level, and may include work with chamber groups or ensembles, depending on departmental needs and the experience of the successful candidate.

Our music centre is based at Morley College, near London Waterloo, and teaching takes place on 10 Saturdays per term. Availability for afternoon teaching would be preferred.

CYM offers music provision to talented young people from all backgrounds in a thriving musical environment. As a Centre for Advanced Training under the Department for Education’s National Grant for Music and Dance, CYM is a key provider of instrumental, vocal and ensemble tuition in London. Our Saturday school and holiday courses offer a sustained and progressive route from the early stages of learning through to music college entrance. Children start on our primary years programme (age 5 upwards) progressing to the full programme (aged 8 to 18).

Interviews will take place on Thursday 5th June with a view to a start date of 20th September 2025.

CYM is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. Successful candidates will be subject to an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check and thorough reference checks.
