Fine Chinese Workshop Double Bass (Bridegwood & Neitzert, 2006), Hans Hofer Restoration

Chinese workshop double bass, purchased from Bridgewood & Neitzert (London) in 2006. Following an accident, the instrument underwent a comprehensive restoration and tonal overhaul by Hans Hofer (Bern, Switzerland), and has since developed into an exceptionally responsive and rewarding bass.

The instrument offers remarkable balance across all registers, with excellent sustain and an even response throughout the fingerboard. There are no dead spots or notes that protrude unnaturally. It is exceptionally easy to play, with a comfortable setup and smooth action.

A warm, mature-sounding bass with outstanding resonance, equally suited to advanced students, conservatoire players and professional musicians. Very good overall condition and ready to play.
