Beautiful ancient violin, very finely carved lion head, in the Stainer style. Wonderful woods, beautiful back with tight and regular marbling, bright and deep brown varnish
Big, sweet and full-bodied sound, a very charming violin.
Some flawlessly executed repairs, sound post patch on the top and back perfectly repaired and almost invisible.
