A violin by Carlo Ferdinando Landolfi, Milan, 1759

Stolen: 21 Dec 2012 - ca. 24:00 - in the train near Hanover (Nethersaxony, Germany)

I forgot my violin in the train! We immediately phoned the Deutsche Bahn, but when the train-driver went throgh the whole train in order to find it only three stops later, it was already picked! I alarmed all the lost-property-offices but until now - nothing! The case is a red GEWA idea 2.2 (?) and includes also two bows, colophone, black handwarmers and a Kun shoulder rest, as well as a lot of music by Mozart, Schumann and others.

A violin by Carlo Ferdinando Landolfi, Milan, 1759, bearing the label: Carlo Ferdinando Landolfi, 1759. One-piece back, lightly craquelled varnish of a red colour on a golden brown ground, length of body 356 mm (14 in.)
