Tony Burtnik - Custom Made
Stolen: 10 Dec 2008 - Afternoon - Nashville TN
It was stolen along with 3 other instruments - a inexpensive banjo and mandolin. Also a natural colored fender acoustic sonoran.
Description of Instrument:
This violin was custom made for me by Canadian fiddle player/violin maker Tony Burtnik. My violin has particular darkening on the upper right side where I used to play it in 5th position before it was stained/varnished - basically the oils from my skin discolored the natural wood in that area on the body of the violin. It was made when I was 11years old so in 1993. If it still has the original strings and bridge, etc. - It has a silver fine tuner on the e string, - only fine tuner is on the e-string.. a taller/narrower bridge than most violins and the e string is gold. Also my chin rest is one that has a diamond pattern on it. The label inside the violin is numbered.
