The Koufonisia Classical Music Festival is pleased to announce the Academy of Rhythm and Time, a five-day course led by percussion soloist Dimitris Desyllas
This intensive programme explores the many dimensions of musical time: Participants will engage with fundamental and advanced questions of rhythm, pulse, accuracy, synchronisation, subdivision, complexity and musical time
The course is open to instrumentalists of all disciplines, as well as conductors, who wish to deepen their understanding and experience of rhythm in performance
Participants will also have the opportunity to attend rehearsals and the final concert of ΤΥΠΑΝΑ Percussion Ensemble, under the artistic direction of Dimitris Desyllas
Participation fee: €150 per person (payable after the applicant has received confirmation of acceptance)
