General Manager

CityMusic Promotions Ltd is the umbrella company which manages the performing schedule of The Piccadilly Sinfonietta and concert pianist Warren Mailley-Smith, delivering 500 performances across the UK in the 2025-26 season.

A full time General Manager and Personal Assistant to Director Warren Mailley- Smith is required to join CityMusic Promotions Ltd as part of a small team. Working hours, are 10am-6pm Tue-Sat, with various Fridays and Saturdays required to work as concert manager on site at venues, when working hours will be 12-10pm, as needed.

Key Duties & Responsibilities
The role requires working 2 days per week in situ at the Beckenham office (SE London) with the remaining days at home or on site at concert venues as concert manager and content creator.

Specific aspects of the role include:
• Concert management
• The ability to support the Marketing Manager in areas of social media content creation, posting and digital marketing.
• Venue relationship-building
• New Initiative Development and Delivery
• WMS Diary management
• Programme-planning
• Database-management
• Design Skills
• Musician booking and liason
• Venue booking and liason
• Orchestral music library management
The role also includes acting as PA to Director Warren Mailley-Smith.
• Decision-taking in the absence of the Principal due to travel and rehearsals
• The ability to present the principal with ideas and solutions, not problems
• Instinct on when to use initiative
• Instinct on when to push and when to yield.

Knowledge & Experience
• Previous experience in arts administration
• Proven ability to work under pressure and excel at multi tasking.
• Working knowledge of Mailchimp and database management
• Experience in Customer Service, helpful but not essential
• Proven experience in a problem-solving role
• Some past experience in handling budgets and forecating
• Past experience in using Canva or other design software
• Good understanding of Social
