Polstjärnepriset Nordic Edition 2027

Polstjärnepriset is Sweden’s leading competition for young classical musicians aged 14-18 from the Nordic countries. Parallel to the competition, the Polstjärnepriset course is being held, which is open to musicians aged 14-20 from the Nordic countries and the rest of Europe.

Polstjärnepriset is divided into two periods. From 28 October to 1 November 2026, everyone will meet to prepare for the competition, have lessons, and play together in various chamber music groups and orchestras. Right at the start of January, the competition itself takes place, with the final alongside the Gothenburg Symphony Orchestra at the Gothenburg Concert Hall on 5 January. Polstjärnepriset ends with a final concert on 6 January.

No participation fees, but you pay accommodation and travels yourself.
