AUDITION for the position of
CELLO tutti
(a full-time position with a trial period starting 1st October 2025)

Audition date: 23rd June 2025

AUDITION REPERTOIRE:

PRE-SELECTION VIDEO RECORDING
(With the application, please send a link to your uploaded video recording on YouTube. The recording must be with piano or orchestral accompaniment, live & not older than 1 year)

J. Haydn: Concerto in C major - 1st movement with cadenza

1st ROUND (blind audition, solo piece with piano)

a) J. Haydn: Concerto in D major - 1st movement with cadenza

b) Orchestral excerpts
B. Smetana: The Bartered Bride – Ouverture

2nd ROUND (non-blind audition, with piano):

1. 1st and 2nd movements of a concerto of the repertoire of the 2nd half of the 19th century or the 1st half of the 20th century or a concertante piece from the same period upon to applicant´s choice (1st and 2nd movements)

L.v.Beethoven: Symphony No. 5
B. Smetana: Vyšehrad, Vltava, Šárka, Z českých luhů a hájů
B. Martinů: Symphony No. 6
R. Strauss: Don Juan
S. Prokofjev: Symphony No. 5
P.I.Tchaikovski: Symphony No. 6
G. Verdi: Requiem
