We are looking for candidates in our orchestra

2. concertmaster violin
The position will be filled from 30 July 2026 or according to the agreement.
The salary is in accordance with the Finnish Music Union agreement.

The audition will be held on Monday 8 June 2026 from 2 pm,
In the Lappeenranta hall, Kaupungintalo/CityHall, Villimiehenkatu 1, 53100 Lappeenranta, Finland.

Audition tasks:
1. Mozart: Violin Concerto No. 3 in G, No. 4 in D or No. 5 in A I movement with cadenzas
2. Part I with cadenzas from one of the following concertos: Beethoven, Brahms, Mendelssohn, Sibelius or Tchaikovsky.
3. Orchestra and chamber music assignments/excerpts are sent as pdf files after the application period

Based on the applications, audition applicants are invited to an audition.
The application must include the applicant's contact information, information about studies/CV and other activities as a musician in different orchestras (name of orchestra, vacancy and duration of work), the works to be performed in audition and whether the applicant wants to use an orchestra accompanist in the audition, it is also possible to use your own pianist at your own expense. The trial period is six months. The person selected for the task must present a medical certificate about his health before accepting the task.
We expect good co-operation and interaction skills from the applicants.
We also hope for a desire to study Finnish language after the chosen one settles into a new homeplace.
