Gianni Mariotto Luthier Double Bass, 1990, Mantua

For sale: beautiful double bass crafted by Master Luthier Gianni Mariotto in Mantua. The instrument was built in 1990, following the Cerruti model, and features a distinctive Mantua Red color.
It has a spruce top, with back and sides made of flamed poplar. This rare piece also includes a poplar neck and scroll. The scale length is 104 cm. The double bass has a warm and rich tone, and is very comfortable to play due to its dimensions and reduced neck thickness. It was highly appreciated by Maestro Petracchi during studies at the W. Stauffer Academy.
The instrument was played in orchestras until 2016. In 2017, it underwent maintenance with a new soundpost and fingerboard dressing, performed by Mariotto himself.
It comes with a certificate of authenticity Located in Catania and available for trials.
