Old Saxon Cello - Ficker School circa 1800

This early 19th century Saxon cello was recently fully restored. The neck was redone to a modern standard with a neck graft and it retains the original characteristic elongated peg box/scroll. The cello body and original yellow gold varnish remained in good condition over the centuries and there are no sound post or bass bar cracks and only a few upper bout repaired table cracks (none on back or ribs). The cello has a unique 5-strand purling which is associated with the Ficker/Pfretzschner school circa 1800. The sound is quite robust with tonal richness a professional would appreciate. The setup is professionally done.
